Establishment
Timeline

1967 Beam Phone Electronics Co., Ltd established in Taipei. Products included power and audio transformers, choke coils and reflection yoke coils. Major customers were Tatung, Sampo, Sony, Kolin and Tun Yuan.
1974 AC/DC & AC/AC adaptors, DC/DC converters and battery chargers introduced to foreign markets under the name “Beam”.
1978 Awarded “The Best Supplier of the Year” from SONY Taiwan.
1990 Began R&D on Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and Switching Power Supplies (SPS).
1991 Moved to Chung-Ho (Taipei) for easier sourcing of engineers. Company name changed to Beam Tech Electronics Co. Ltd. UPS and SPS introduced to the market.
1994 UPS models US-350/500/650/800 certified by TUV.
1996 UPS and Adaptor factories obtained ISO9002 certifications.
1997 ODM Emergency Lighting Ballast project.
1998 New UPS production lines and employment of production engineering staff.
1999 SI Series Internal UPS and SS Series Sine Wave Line Interactive UPS introduced to the market.
2000 ODM/OEM Sine Wave Line Interactive UPS for some of major UPS manufacturers in Taiwan.
2001 Released Long Run (SS-L) and Rack Mount (SR) versions of the SS model Sine Wave Line Interactive UPS.
BS Series Line Interactive Step Wave introduced to the market. Very user friendly indication, faster charging, and designed for easy SKD.
2002 Released New SR series, capacity 700VA ~ 3KVA, with User Replaceable Battery.
Released SSR-5000 (Rack mount & Tower type) & SS-4000 (Tower type).
Released LCD Display Module for All Sine Wave UPS (SS, SR, SS-L series, & 5K).
Released DC 24V Output On-Line UPS.
ISO9001 certified for UPS & Inverter.
2003 Released Sine Wave Line Interactive Long-run UPS, SS-5000E (or 3500L)
Revised DC On-Line UPS from Single DC Output 24V into 12V ~ 48V.
Released Sine Wave Rack mount Long-run UPS, SR-1000L, 1500L, 2000L, & 3000L.
Released Sine Wave Inverter, SV-3000 & SV-4000.
2004 EBT function (Estimated Backup Time) is available for all models
Released the Sine wave UPS for Cable TV system.
2005 Released the Remote LCD display is available for all of our models
Released the Remote set-up application software, named as UPS Wizard.
2006 Released New series of Sine Wave Line Interactive UPS with efficiency as high as 88%
Sine wave Inverter series in Tower (EVT) or Rack (EVR) from 1K ~ 3.5K
2007 ODM project, Air-flow Detector, released with high sensitivity, Released New Internal UPS, SI-400 (with lead-acid battery) & SI-401/402 (with Li-Polymer battery)
Released Sine wave UPS 8KVA
2008 Released the Home Inverter series
Revised the Sine wave UPS for Cable TV system.
Revised Sine wave Inverter series in Tower (EVT) or Rack (EVR) up to 4KVA
2009 Released Wall-mount type of Home inverter/charger series.
Released Tower models, 6500VA / 5000VA, with 230Vac (200V~240V) input /output.
Updated UPS Wizard 2
2010 Released the 10KVA / 12KVA models with Rack / Tower convertible feature.
Released Tower models, 6500VA / 5000VA, with 120Vac (100V~240V) input / output.
Released Rack/Tower convertible model, 6KVA, SSR-6000, in 4u case.
2011 Released larger rating of long-run sine wave UPS, 8KVA (4KW~7500W with limited backup time).
OEM for Home UPS/Inverter with LiFe battery packs to be used in Japan.
2012 Released DC UPS with power rating 100~300W for output 48Vdc (or 24Vdc & 12Vdc), in 1u case, and 200W ~ 300W in 2u case.
Released On-Line UPS (1.5K & 2K), high efficiency (>92%), to be as one of our standard products.
2013 In developing ODM project, Sine wave inverter 15A / 120Vac, for GE (USA); transformer-free, fan-less with PFC & high efficiency performance.
2014 Released HT-8000(6KW) / HT-6000(4KW), Long-run type, & MPPT solar charger
2015 Released On-line 1.5K, 2K, & 3K, in Tower & Rack cabinet respectively, with high efficiency over 92%, and Common Neutral feature
2017 Released New ODM Inverter, PowerXchanger, X-05, X-10, X-15, in plastic & metal cabinet respectively, also, to apply various safety & global patent in many countries for the PowerXchanger series.
More On-line models added & updated from 1.2K, 1.5K, 2K, & 3KVA
2018 Released 3-phase UPS (modularized by single phase UPS) with rating below 10KVA
Developed ModBus Communication Extension card, compatible with the slot for SNMP & AS400 card.

We are welcome any PCB ODM/OEM requests. We are also capable of developing the related products, microprocessor based design, customized performance at the lowet price. Easy test, easy assembling, available for special design of control chips.

Quality Control procedures are accomplished by using PCB in-circuit testers. Automatic testing equipment is used for final QC. We complete our QC policy from start to finished product
